My name is Dylan Ray, and I am a full stack software developer, with an interest in application development.
Ever since I was a child, I have been drawn to technology whether it be computers or the newest game console, and this passion for technology, through a roundabout way, eventually led me to pursue a degree in Computer Science.
I have a passion for cooking and with a restaurant as a family business, I worked in the restaurant industry for around 8 years, and did enjoy my time in the industry, even achieving the position of sous chef. I eventually grew bored of the lack of challenge and wished to change my career to provide a more stimulating and rewarding environment.
This led me to start school at Metropolitan Community College, originally with a focus on cybersecurity. While taking classes I took a scripting course in Python, and found an interest in programming, which eventually led me to switch my focus to software development.
After finishing my certification in cybersecurity, I began my software development classwork, where I learned languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, and many languages related to web development. I love the challenges that developing websites and applications bring and relish the satisfaction when you finally figure out a hard problem, or finally deploy that application successfully.
